Assalamualaikum.
Hari ni nak cerita sikit pasal storytelling session itu hari. Subject sem ni, kami kena retell a story to the kids. Bayangkanlah. Mau ke kanak-kanak ni nak dengar story? English pulak tu. Tapi ni fikiran negatif i je before we start the session. Negatif sangat, tup, tup... Ambik kau! Budak-budak faham mende yang saya duk tanya dorang.
Contoh 1: Do you know what a caterpillar is?? So the kids replied.....yes. ==",. See, betapa teruknya impression haku terhadap kiddie kiddos tu. Mesti budak-budak tu mempersoalkan dalam benak dorg (kacang je tu, caterpillar je kot?) Ish, ish. Lesson pertama, jangan tanya dah lepas ni... wuwuwuwu
Contoh 2: The caterpillar sleeps in the pupa. Do you know what a pupa is? Again, they replied....yes. kepompong =='' betapa pandainya mereka. Tapi alhamdulillah la kan, at least i know they understood the story.. (ayat memujuk diri yang duka lara)~
Selain kesilapan haku dalam underestimate their knowledge, lagi satu kesalahan yang tak dapat dimahapkan ialah GRAMMATICAL ERROR. Punya la ranap dan kucainya English haku. Apo kono eh jang la haku waktu tu. Padahal dah 3 tahun dah duk ngaji BI. Nasib la, nasib la.Oh! My English bersepah-sepah...
Contoh 1: The flowerS in this garden smellS very nice. See, betapa hinanya kesalahan itu. Dah la plural, haku pegi tambah S pulak lagi. Memang la, memang la teruk itu kesalahan.
Contoh 2: Time nak terangkan about the pupa. -the caterpillar sleeps inside the caterpillar- ==" ulat beluncas tidur di dalam ulat beluncas? Betapa tak berilmunya fakta itu... Supposed to be -The caterpillar sleeps inside the pupa- Haa, ni baru fakta yang betul. huhuhu,,,,
Contoh 3: Do you know what happen next? The flower has wakes up! Sape ajar la lepas "has" tu present tense?? Hina dinanya kesalahanku ini.
Contoh 4: dan banyak lagi lah. malas mau reveal the whole errors. Let the rest remains silent,,, bhahaha.
Kelebihan storytelling session ni ialah:
- helps to build my confidence speaking in front of the kids. They are kids after all.... (berlagak benor dia)
- helps me to improve my grammar
- helps me to know my own voice, through the video.. ( camtu rupanya suara den)
- through the video also, i'm able to see clearly my body gesture, facial expression which i think a kind of (tah pape je muka kau,,,)
- helps me to make some or a lot of amendments later. insyaAllah, doa-in ya.
